Speed Racer Bike Lights Review

Today I'm going to be reviewing a set of bike lights from Speed Racer. 

These are a fantastic set of lights. I never knew something like this even existed until I was given the opportunity to review these for free in exchange for this review. I must say that I am quite impressed. However, there is just one problem: There is absolutely no help from the seller or the maker about how to put these lights on. I myself could not figure it out for a while, and thought that I had duds and only accidentaly managed to work it. So here are the instructions:

1) Take one of the lights (Picture 3) and unscrew them. There will be 4 things that come out - 3 batteries and a white peice of paper (picture 5). Throw out the paper
2) Align the batteries in the same manner, and make sure that the flat side (not the side with writing on it) is the one that touches the little holes (picture 4)
3) Re-screw the lights together
4) Screw the valve cover onto the light. (picture 2)
5) Unscrew your bike's valve cover and screw what you have on to it.
6) Repeat for the second tire

So this can actually work for up to 3 cycles, if you use two in each.

Lost My Marbles (Pack of 25) Review

I’ve been playing with marbles for a long time. As a kid in France, playing with marbles used to be one of the biggest pastimes during recess. When I moved to the U.S., however, I had to give away my collection, but I managed to keep just a handful as tokens of good memories. I haven’t really seen people playing with marbles ever since (the last time I saw them was in a pot of flowers as decor).

Nevertheless, let’s get to the main product.

----Pros----

Great seller, fantastic packaging (not even a single marble was de-shaped or cracked in any way), and quick shipping (thanks to amazon prime)

The extra velour bag is a FANTASTIC addition to securely place your marbles

The marbles are made of superb quality and the sizes are good too.

----Cons----

EVERY MARBLE (apart from the one really big one, which is the extra shooter) IS EXACTLY THE SAME! This is not something that I expected from seeing the photos. So watch out, because the photos are misleading. Now, maybe you want all the marbles to be the same, after all, that works great for marble mazes, which is something that the maker has said in the description. But, this wasn’t what I was expecting. Even the shooter is the same dull design. I just didn’t have that wow factor that I was really looking forward too.

And again, it might just be exactly what you are looking for. In the images below, you can see my little collection of colorful marbles, in comparison with what you are about to receive.

Planet Rush Battery Pack review

I got this battery pack from Planet Rush at a discount in order to test it out. I must say, that I am absolutely amazed by the results. It charged all the devices I tried on it including:

• Moto G
• Moto X
• Fire Phone
• iPod Touch 2g
• iPad 3
• iPad Mini 1
• even another battery pack

The best part about this is that it charges at the same speed as a wall outlet. This comes included with a wire to charger the battery pack, but it’s not something you can plug into a wall: you can only plug it into a P.C. So you need a wall plug, or you could just charge it through what you’re really paying for: by the SUN!

Now on the back, it says that it charges from the Sun at a rate of 200 milliamps per hour, and that the total capacity is 1200 milliamps. So in order to fully charge this, you need 6 hours in good sunlight: you basically have to leave it exposed for the majority of one sunny day. So the charging speed isn’t great. Also, the whole solar panel thing makes this very heavy as well, in comparison to other battery packs. But to balance that out, this has a higher output, and so, my devices get charged quicker.

In the end, I would recommend this as a buy. It is surely a high quality product, and it seems that it will last for a long time.

Multiple Armband Review!

Today I am going to be comparing multiple armbands. 

The first is the Armband by Bolt.

Well, let me be honest here. It’s not the number 1 quality running armband. And there’s a simple reason to that: I’ve tried over 10 armbands and this comes to be better than most but not the best. The point is, that just like phone cases or screen protectors or even selfie sticks, armbands are a really popular item and there’s a lot of them out there. The company surely took time to make their product and that is reflected in the build quality of the armband. With adequate amount of holes for headphones (there are four, 1 in each corner so that you can put your phone anyway you want, and the headphones will come out with bending or anything). I tested it out and yes, it is sweat resistant.

But here’s the part I don’t like about this. It’s ONLY an iPhone 6 armband. It unfortunately doesn’t work well with my Moto X, Moto G, Fire Phone, and it’s obviously too big for my ipod touch so I can’t count that. But the fire phone is the same screen size as the iphone, in fact, their total face size is exactly the same. On the other hand, this isn’t advertised as a 4.7 inch phone armband, but a iPhone 6 armband, so I can’t really hold the makers against this. Nevertheless, this might be something they could work on.

In the end, this is a great armband for the price. It’s not a “you get what you pay for”, because trust me, you are getting way more. So while this isn’t going to be my favorite armband, it could be exactly what you are looking for, because the quality won’t disappoint. Rating: 9/10

Next, I am going to be reviewing the Armband by Airbundle. Guess what? We have the same problem. It’s an only for Iphone 6 armband. But there is something that’s wrong with this is that there aren’t enough headphone openings. Only 1 in the bottom. At least the bolt one has four, one on each side! Rating: 7/10

Lastly, I am going to be reviewing the armband by Alaska Bear Inc. This is a great armband. Unlike other armbands, this is finally one that works well with the amazon fire phone. If you need to buy one armband, this is the one that it should be. Rating 10/10

There are so many good things about this, it’s impressive! First off, most car chargers have either one or two ports. But this one goes beyond the traditional charger with 3 charging ports! Now I’m not a big fan of chinese company products, but this is actually a high quality product (unlike the charging wire that you can read about in my first tech review!). Even after hours on use, it does not get hot! And the best part is that it actually charges my Ipad 3, which NO car charger has been able to do up till now. If you’re looking for something cheap that does the job REALLY well, then you need to go for this charger. Please note that I received this charger in exchange for my honest review, and that the seller had no influence on this review.

Alongside other reviews, as I stated before, my book reviews will continue on! Right now, I am also in the process of reading God's Eye by A.J. Scudiere . So far, it's not a bad book. But, I haven't read much into it. So once I have finished it, I will update you all on wheather or not it is a good read.

Tech Review #1

Hello everyone,

Today I get to post my first tech review! I am extremely exited but also kind of sad. The first thing that I have for review is an Apple charger made by reach cables (found @  http://www.amazon.com/Foot-Long-iPhone-iPad-Charging/dp/B00W4OJIF8).

I guess before I start I should mention that I received this charger for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Let's start off with the positives. It's got a design that I haven't seen before, a thick rope like consistency. And it's 10 feet long, which trust me, is pretty long. BUT. The cons far outweigh the pros.

First off, that rope like feel. It looks good on the outside, but when you touch it and play around with it, not so much. It's really rough. And that doesn't mean it's a strong cord. Which brings me to my next point. This is a chineese CHEAPLY made cable which is NOT approved by Apple. If anything were to happen to your device or to you as a reason of this 3rd party cord, Apple would do nothing to help you out.

I am not happy that my first review has to be a negative one, however, the reality is the reality. So in my honest opinion, do NOT buy this cord.

Life of Irrational Choices --> Part 1

**Note: This is the first part in 2 of the review of "Life of Irrational Choices" by Apoorv Vishnoi (for more details look at my previous post)**

One of the most important things when writing any piece of literature is a good intro, or as most of my english teachers referred to them as: hooks. You have to be able to hook your reader into reading something and you have to do if fairly quickly. And Apoorv did an awesome job at that. In just a couple of paragraphs, Apoorv has convinced me to read the rest of his novel (a sample version aka the first few lines are available at his website @ http://www.loirc.com/). When you go to his website, there's going to be something that's going to catch your eyes, and that's the chart of his "life growth". While mine isn't exactly like that, I could see my life's growth somewhat mirroring what he experienced. And the narrative voice is so casual and understanding of the reader while telling his story that I was immediately hooked. I am looking forward to receiving the book and reading it. Till then, ADIOS!    

A new start

I have decided to keep pursing some writing on this blog. I will now change the main focus of this blog from book discussions to more of books, products, and tech reviews. But books were the start of this blog, and they will always be the essence. So let me start off with one! I recently got the opportunity to read "The Life of Irrational Choices" by Apoorv Vishnoi in exchange for this review. This blog will work in two steps. The first is a preview section, where I have read the introduction to the book, and I will talk about that. And the second section will be an overall review, which I will publish upon obtaining and reading the book as a whole.
